With summer in full swing, Mayor Thomas M. Menino and the city of Boston want to make sure the city’s youth and families are playing safely.
On Saturday the Boston Centers for Youth & Families will host a series of training sessions and workshops for youth service providers, parents, and coaches about staying healthy and safe during the summer.
The event will be held at BCYF’s Center at Madison Park at 55 Malcolm X Blvd. from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Topics covered Saturday will include information about concussions, swimming skills and water safety, and the importance of healthy beverages.
