The days of free parking in Dedham Square are numbered, at least in some locations.
Parking meters will be installed throughout Dedham Square on Monday, but they will not become active until October.
Parking at the Keystone Parking Lot has been free throughout the Dedham Square Improvement Project, but it was always a part of the plan to eventually install meters in portions of the lot.
The meters will be Luke II Pay Stations. Town officials will put together instructions on how to use them once they go live.
Regulatory street signs and the second layer of asphalt on High Street from Eastern Avenue to the Route 1 overpass will also be installed during the day Monday.
Night work in the coming week will consist of finish work for the new retaining wall along High Street, installation of brick paver crosswalks with granite curb edging at High and Washington streets, installation of stamped and colored concrete pavement on Washington and High streets, and raising the frames and covers of the underground utilities.
