Dedham High School will hold a celebration rally Thursday to celebrate the school’s successes and increased participation in advanced placement math, science, and English classes.
All AP students and prospective AP students will join teachers and school administrators at 10 a.m. to celebrate the school’s fourth year participating in the Mass insight Education’s Mass Math & Science Initiative, a news release said. The program aims to increase AP participation, “specifically in traditionally under-represented populations.”
Thursday’s event will include more than 260 students and is designed to inspire them to achieve academic excellence during the school year and in particular on the spring AP tests.
Students will also hear from administrators about 2012 exam results and review an outline of the school’s goals for next year.
