There are only two contests in Dedham’s town election Saturday, and Town Clerk Paul Munchbach expects that voter turnout will be relatively low.
“This should be a pretty quiet election -- I’d say voter turnout would probably be around 18 percent, like it was for the presidential primary," he said.
Three residents are vying for one seat on the Board of Assessors, and the Library Board of Trustees race has two candidates seeking one seat. In addition, Town Meeting precincts three and six have more candidates than spots. The rest have the exact number of candidates needed or will require write-ins.
This week, Jennifer Barsamian launched a write-in campaign for the previously uncontested race for School Committee.
Dedham polls will be open Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Riverdale Elementary, Greenlodge Elementary, Dedham Middle School, Avery Elementary, and Town Hall.
Here is a look at who is on the ballot:
Board of Selectmen: Jim MacDonald (one seat open)
School Committee: Joe Heisler, Kevin Coughlin, and David Roberts (three seats open)
Library Board: Tracy Driscoll and Marcia Jane Withiam-Wilson (one seat open)
Board of Assessors: Katherine Herrick and John Healy (one seat open)
Parks and Recreation Commission: Chuck Dello Iacono and John Maida (two seats open)
Town Clerk: Paul Munchbach
