On March 18 at 2:10 p.m., police pulled over a driver who turned left onto Elm Street from an exit at Legacy Place despite signs prohibiting a left-hand turn. Police checked the man’s driving record, reported that his registration was suspended, and had the vehicle towed.
Then at 4:14 p.m. that day, a caller on Providence Highway reported that a stray dog had jumped into his car and that he could not remove it. Police referred the incident to the town’s K-9 officer, who responded and removed the animal from the vehicle.
On March 19 at 4:42 p.m., a resident on Ashcroft Street reported that her neighbor was playing inappropriate tapes out of his window. An officer responded but said the home was quiet at the time. Then at 5:58 p.m. that same day, several additional residents reported that the same man had a speaker facing out the window playing explicit audio. Police responded once more, spoke with the resident, and filed a report about the incident.
On March 20 at 3:46 p.m., Old Navy, Sears, and Five Below, all on Providence Highway, reported a shoplifter. Police responded and arrested Gina M. Curtis, 32, of Dedham on two charges of larceny over $250 and one charge of shoplifting.
