Bishop Fenwick High School will hold an auction at the Danversport Yacht Club tomorrow as part of their fundraising effort this year.
With "building futures" as a theme, the school hopes to top the $75,000 they made at the last auction they held two years ago, said Dan Mahoney, who planned the event and whose daughter attends the school.
"The auction itself is really about building futures for the kids today and building legacies for the kids who will be there," Mahoney said.
Auction items include tickets to sporting events such as the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots, Bruins, and concerts such as Kenny Chesney, Katy Perry and more, said a statement from Bishop Fenwick. Other items include Kindles, iPods and GPS devices, and vacations to Orlando, Fla., and ski resorts.
Mahoney, who is involved in several Fenwick fundraisers, said much of the money will go toward revamping technology at the private coed high school.
"We don't get money from cities or towns, so the school is completely dependent on tuition and fundraising," Mahoney said.
With almost 300 tickets sold, there are still some available, Mahoney said.
The auction starts at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow, tickets are still available and can be purchased online at www.fenwick.org or by contacting Laura Wall at (978) 587-8354.
