Plans are underway to renovate Charlestown’s John Harvard Mall and the city wants to hear from residents about improvements they would like to see in the park.
The Boston Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a community meeting on Monday, July 29, to discuss possible improvements, new features, and the look of the mall.
The meeting, which will be held at the District A-15 Boston Police Station at 20 Vine St. at 6:30 p.m., is the first in a series of planned meetings to discuss work on the mall.
A Parks Department official and representatives from Weston & Sampson Inc. will give a presentation on the mall’s existing conditions and the project scope.
After the site analysis, community members will be able to offer thoughts on the presentation, the program for the park, and the design process.
