The following information was taken from the Canton police log. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
Monday, April 15
Summons: At 8:12 p.m., police charged James Jones, 35, of Stoughton, with four counts of identity fraud. Jones had allegedly opened up a credit card in another name.
Tuesday, April 16
Arrest: At 4:40 a.m., police issued a summons to a 16-year-old juvenile and charged him with felony breaking and entering a vehicle at night. The summons was issued on Cape Cod Lane. The juvenile was released to his mother.
Arrest: At 3:01 p.m., police arrested Jonathan Lindor, 25, of Canton and charged him with possession of a Class B drug and possession of a Class D drug with intent to distribute. The arrest was made on Dedham Street.
Summons: At 3:11 p.m., police responded to a single-vehicle accident on Elm Street in which the car struck a tree. Police issued a summons to Charles Degregorio, 36, of Medway on charges of a marked lanes violation and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended licenses, subsequent offense.
Arrest: At 3:55 p.m., police responded to a break-in in progress on York Street. The suspect had destroyed a basement door going in. The homeowner returned home, called police and sought safety. Police set up a perimeter around the house and demanded the suspect come out. Police arrested James M. Verdone Jr., 36, of Middleboro and charged him with felony breaking and entering during daytime and malicious destruction of property greater than $250.
Wednesday, April 17
Arrest: At 9:04 p.m., police responded to a single-vehicle accident on Messinger Street in which the car struck a utility pole. Police arrested Edward Daniels, 53, of Canton and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop/yield, and a marked lanes violation. No injuries were reported.
Thursday, April 18
Summons: At 10:38 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Turnpike Street. Police issued a summons to Michelle Davey, 41, of Weymouth on charges of having an uninsured motor vehicle, attaching plates assigned to another vehicle, and driving an unregistered motor vehicle.
Theft: At 9:41 p.m., police received a report of theft of car tires from Canton Junction.
Sunday, April 21
Arrest: At 12:33 a.m., police arrested Vanessa Gibson, 28, of Canton and charged her with domestic assault and battery. Police made the arrest on Prospect Street.
