The following information was taken from the Canton police logs. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
Monday, March 4
Arrest: At 1:08 p.m., police arrested Jason D. Kang, 18, of Avon and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and driving with no inspection sticker. The arrest was made at the intersection of Washington and Revere streets.
Theft: At 6:39 p.m., police received a report of theft from Canton High School. A cell phone was stolen from a locker room.
Tuesday, March 5
Fraud: At 1:56 p.m., police received a report of identity fraud from Flintlocke Lane. A woman’s checking account was compromised in 2010, and the resident wanted the fraud on record. There was $2,000 fraudulently withdrawn over that time period.
Thursday, March 7
Accidents: Between 6:51 a.m. and 8:31 a.m., police responded to six accidents related to slippery road conditions from the snowy weather. No injuries were reported.
Arrest: At 6 p.m., police responded to an accident on Algonquin Road. Police arrested Robert A. Gomes, 24, of Canton and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
Friday, March 8
Break-in: At 9:38 a.m., police received a report of a break-in at Angelo’s Pizza on Beaumont Street. The owner entered the business using the back door and found the deep fryer had been knocked to the floor. The cash register, containing $500 was taken and entry was gained through a front window.
Sunday, March 10
Fraud: At 4:45 p.m., police received a report of identity fraud from Blue Hill Village. A resident found $1,487 worth of fraudulent charges on her Macy’s Card that were sent to a Los Angeles address.
