Cambridge will begin offering series of bicycle workshops Tuesday night with course on urban cycling basics.
The free course at the Cambridge Police Station on 125 Sixth St. begins tonight at 7 p.m. and is designed for people who know how to ride a bike but want to start using their bikes to ride to work or school. An instructor will demonstrate safe cycling principles, answer questions and attendees will receive handouts with safety information.
The workshop is the first of a series offered through the Cambridge Community Development Department this fall that will also tackle topics such as women cycling, bicycle maintenance and the laws around urban cycling. A full schedule of the courses can be found here.
All of the classes are run from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the city is asking participants to reserve a spot by contacting Jennifer Lawrence at email@example.com or 617-349-4671.
