Massachusetts Department of Transportation Secretary Richard Davey will join local leaders in Cambridge for a forum next week on how to improve the state’s transportation system.
The forum, which will include a presentation by Davey followed by a panel discussion, will focus on the importance of transportation for businesses and residents and what options are on the table in the state as well as how to raise the needed revenue. The forum will discuss everything from road conditions to outdated MBTA vehicles.
The forum will be Tuesday, March 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cambridge Public Library at 449 Broadway. Co-sponsors for the forum are state senators Patricia Jehlen, Sal DiDomenico and Anthony Petruccelli, along with state representatives Marjorie Decker, Jonathan Hecht, Dave Rogers and Timothy Toomey. The Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), and Transportation for Massachusetts (T4MA) are also sponsoring the forum.
