The list included all of Baxter Circle, Mountain Road, Sumner Street, Burlington Street, Richard Road, Center Street, Rolling Lane, Given Drive, and Russell Circle, and parts of Upland Road and Winn Street. The other three roads - Black Horse Lane, Wing Terrace, and Ray Avenue – are being reconstructed. Hayes said due to scheduling factors, those streets are now being done.
The town is also undertaking maintenance work on other roads. Less extensive than regular repaving, maintenance involves re-sealing cracks or applying a thin surface layer to the street. Hayes said that work is now nearly done. This year’s improvements are being funded through a combination of $750,000 the town was allotted by the state through its Chapter 90 local road improvement program, and some of the approximately $1 million budgeted by the town for road projects in fiscal years 2012 and 2013.
