Two men from Dorchester were arrested on Tuesday after allegedly selling heroin and cocaine to an undercover police officer.
According to police, officers identified the men as the source of some heroin and cocaine on the South Shore, and arranged to meet them in a Braintree location.
The undercover officer purchased two bags of heroin and two bags of cocaine, police said. During the transaction, police said they observed additional bags of cocaine in one of the suspect’s hands.
The officer completed the deal and the suspects drove off, but were stopped by both Braintree and Quincy police a short distance away, police said.
Police were unable to locate the additional cocaine. Officers believed that one of the suspects swallowed it before being arrested.
Juan Luis Sosa-Cruz, 39, and Luis E. Merced, 44, both of Dorchester, were arrested and charged with distribution of heroin and cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and conspiracy to violate the Controlled Substances Act.
