Alleged road rage leads to arrest
A 26-year-old man from Dorchester was arrested on Saturday after allegedly being involved in a road rage incident at the South Shore Plaza.
Police said that witnesses pointed out the suspect to police, and said he was armed with a knife. No knife was recovered, but police believe both men were armed with blunt weapons.
The men were locked in an argument when police arrived. Police separated them and tried to asertain what had occurred.
The Dorchester man was upcooperative and agitated, yelling and encouraging the crowd of onlookers to film the police action on their cell phones.
Police spoke to the other man involved in the incident, who was from Quincy. The Quincy man told officers that the two had been involved in a road rage incident, and that he had subsequently stopped at the main entrance to the mall. The Dorchester man then allegedly exited his vehicle and approached him with an unidentified object in his hand.
Elvis Dos Santos, 26, of Dorchester, was placed under arrest and charged with disorderly conduct.
Shoplifting arrest at Plaza
Police arrested an 18-year-old girl from Brockton on Saturday afternoon after she allegedly stole from several stores in the South Shore Plaza.
Police were called to Victoria Secret where employees said she had stolen a bathing suit.
The bathing suit was recovered, as were items from Express, Hallmark, and Sephora. The merchandise totaled over $550.
The bathing suit was also damaged when the security sensors were removed.
The teen was with three other Brockton women, ages 16, 19, and 22. The three women have not yet been charged, yet all had stolen merchandise on them from various stores, including Forever 21 and Bath and Body Works.
Marissa Rosa, 18, from Brockton was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting, three counts receiving stolen property under $250, and malicious damage to property.
The three other women will be summonsed to court for three counts each of receiving stolen property under $250.
