Montserrat College of Art’s Continuing Education Department is offering summer immersive classes and workshops in June and July.
The first one-day program entitled "Creative Writing Retreat," is being held on June 1. The last program, "Developing Personal Imagery: Contemporary Mixed Media Approaches," is a four-day workshop that kicks off on July 8.
From painting and fiber arts to comics and creative writing, the diverse summer immersives are designed to allow participants time and instruction to delve into a new skill or subject through short-term, credit and non-credit classes.
Classes and workshops include creative writing, mixed media, drawing, Japanese woodblock printing, introduction to comics, performance art, solar plate etching, knitting, still life, digital imaging, film, painting, miniature metal sculpture, portraiture, acrylic, book art, collage and more.
