The Staples for Students campaign is collecting school supplies in Salem, Danvers and North Beverly to benefit students from Salem and Peabody at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem.
Staples is partnering with DoSomething.org and the stars from ABC Family’s hit show Pretty Little Liars, who are encouraging local teens to collect supplies and drop them off at their nearest Staples store from now through Sept. 17.
Staples customers can also donate $1 at any Staples store, with proceeds benefiting Salem and Peabody students.
Since 2008, the campaign has raised nearly $2 million and has donated hundreds of thousands in school supplies for students in need throughout the country.
Supplies can be dropped off at Staples stores located at: 17 Paradise Road - Vinnin Square Plaza, Salem; 301 Newbury Street - Danvers Plaza, Danvers; 230 Independence Way - Liberty Tree Mall, Danvers; and 65 Dodge St. Unit C - North Beverly Plaza, North Beverly.
“It’s hard to imagine sending your kids back to school without proper supplies, but the reality is that countless students face this challenge every year,” Christine Mallon, vice president of retail marketing at Staples, said in a statement. “With help from our celebrities, Staples is ready to rally the public to get out and do something for kids who need our help the most this summer.”
