The race for Belmont selectman was decided by a razor-thin 32-vote margin in Monday’s townwide election, with Andy Rojas claiming victory over Daniel Scharfman, 2,165 votes to 2,133.
The Board of Selectmen seat was one of three contested races in Belmont.
Pascha Griffiths and Anne Lougee both won seats on the School Committee, edging out Matt Sullivan. Griffiths received 2,708 votes, Lougee received 2,894, and Sullivan received 1,588.
The final contested race, for the Board of Assessors saw the reelection of Martin Millane, who beat newcomer Gerard Natoli with 1,979 votes to Natoli’s 1,679.
Belmont has 16,903 registered voters, according to the Town Clerk’s office. Overall turnout for Monday’s election was percent.
