A forum for the District 2 City Council race has been organized for Thursday by the Neighborhood Association of the Back Bay.
The event is expected to feature both the current sitting councilor, Bill Linehan, a South Boston resident, and his challenger, Suzanne Lee, a Chinatown resident.
Set for October 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., the forum will be held in the Commonwealth Salon at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square.
Thursday’s discussion will be moderated by David Jacobs, the editor/publisher of the weekly newspaper the Boston Courant.
District 2 includes South Boston, in addition to portions of the South End, the Back Bay, and Chinatown.
Suzanne Lee, a former principal, challenged Linehan for his seat in 2011, losing by close to 100 votes.
