Arlington Town Manager Brian Sullivan announced Monday that he will retire next year after more than 8 years in the town’s top spot.
Sullivan announced at the Board of Selectmen’s meeting Monday night that he will retire in February, according to a press release from the town today.
“This is one of the hardest working boards I’ve worked with in my
37 year career in municipal government,” Sullivan said.
In comments echoed by the board, Arlington Selectmen Chair Clarissa Rowe praised Sullivan for his exemplary service to the town and wished him the best in the future.
Rowe said finding a replacement as good as Sullivan will be a challenge, but selectmen will begin a transparent process to identify the best candidates and details about the process will be posted on the Town’s website in the near future.
