The Brighton Main Streets nonprofit will celebrate its 15th anniversary and honor the leadership of their former executive director at an annual gala scheduled for Sunday evening.
Roslie Hanlon worked for the organization since its inception in 1998, including a 13-year run as the organization’s director before stepping down last summer to take another job.
The citywide Boston Main Streets program uses public funding and staff to support 20 independently-governed Main Streets organizations, including the one in Brighton, that work with local business districts to improve storefronts and public spaces.
Sunday’s gala will feature a silent auction, which will include gift certificates to neighborhood businesses, “unique experiences” and tickets to Red Sox games and Boston College athletic games, according to an e-mail from the nonprofit’s new director Lis Hulin Wheeler.
The event is set to run from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Community Rowing facility on Nonantum Road.
Tickets are $125 each and available online here.
