The Lynch School of Education at Boston College will host a three-day annual enrichment program this week for new teachers.
The 2012 New Teachers Academy will feature a special two-hour workshop about responding to bullying and cyber-bullying, the school said in a statement.
It will be held from Aug. 7 through Aug. 9 at the university’s campus in Chestnut Hill.
The program is designed to prepare novice K-12 teachers from throughout Massachusetts for the start of the school year and the start of their career in the classroom, according to Boston College.
The conference will be led by faculty from the Lynch School and other experts, including a mix of veteran public, private and Catholic school teachers, who will teach classroom strategies, the release said.
To cover material costs, the program charges a $35 fee per day for each participant, officials said.
