Picturing progress on I-93
The image at left was taken from the north tower of the not-yet-completed Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge in February 2001. Getting there involved a 20-minute climb up the 270-foot tower. He used a 1940's 4x5 Crown Graphic Press Camera with a modern 90mm large-format lens and sheet film.
"The sun had just set and the magic hour sky was upon us. Rush hour on the upper and lower 93 decks was in full swing. The office buildings of downtown Boston were lit up," SetteDucati says in his description of the shot.
