Sea Fever Gear
From the sea to the air
Cape Cod-based Sea Fever Gear recycles old sails and turns them into stylish, waterproof bags that can withstand the rigors of travel. The company, started 15 years ago by two seafaring sisters, Penny and Pixie Haughwout, has a new airline carry-on that swallows your travel items and stows easily. Each custom handcrafted bag has a large, easy-access main compartment and an external mesh pocket. It sells for $104.95 on the website or at the company’s retail store in West Chatham, where you can drop off old sails for recycling, learn about the sail-to-bag-making process, or participate in a private design session. 866-409-6653, www.seafevergear.comKARI BODNARCHUK
