Plymouth Rock

John Tlumacki
Plymouth is the site where the Mayflower pilgrims disembarked and began Plymouth Colony in 1620, and it is also the place where the Thanksgiving tradition was born. Plymouth Rock is the commemorative marker of the spot at Plymouth Harbor, though the location of the rock has changed through the years. In spite of the rock's fame, Plymouth was not the place where the Pilgrims first landed. Five weeks before they moved to Plymouth, the Pilgrims landed in Provincetown.
