We reached the summit soon after nine in the morning, and were among the first visitors to the top that day. It wasn't long until we had company, though, as the Mt. Washington cog railroad steamed to the top and some passengers disembarked. If you don't want to hike to the top you can either drive or take the cog railroad; it's also possible to catch a one-way ride down if you did hike up but don't want to hike down.
