With the wind picking up, and the temperature cooling off, we took a break behind a large boulder to don our jackets. Although we were hiking in late August, it still gets cold on the trail (and summer snowfalls arent unheard of either). Pay attention to everyone who warns you to be prepared before you set out for a hike -- as we learned first-hand the weather on Mt. Washington can change dramatically.
