Jag: A full truckload of firewood. Few people can eyeball a pile of wood and say, "Ayuh, that there's a cord all right." For that reason most serious wood buyers in Maine — where wood-buying is still a very serious business é like to buy their wood by the truckload. When a truck is loaded right to the gunn'ls, so that one more stick would go sliding off — that's what's called a jag a' wood.
