MI-doradoroom.jpegIf you're hoping to avoid the school vacation crowd's next week, Marriott has a deal for you. Head to Florida over leap day, Feb. 29, and Marriott will throw in two companion airfares to anywhere in the continental U.S.

Here's the deal:

Travel Feb. 28 and 29 as part of Marriott's Stay Here Fly There deal and stay at one of these Marriott hotels in South and Central Florida: Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami; Hutchinson Island Marriott Beach Resort & Marina in Stuart; and JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes, Orlando World Center Marriott; or Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. When you book, you'll receive a $100 resort credit, as well as two complimentary companion airline ticket vouchers for future flights.

The fine print:

  • You pay for one ticket and companion fare is included.
  • You must reserve by Feb. 19 and stay Feb. 28 and 29 to get this offer.

I checked online for dates Feb. 27-March 1 and found all of the hotels still have rooms available with this promo, except for the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. Rates ranged from $319 a night to $369 a night.

When you book you'll need to use the promo code P91. After your stay, you'll receive vouchers for your companion fare tickets to use with www.companionbooking.com.
