Not an eye in New England was off the television screen for more than two seconds when the New England Patriots took on the Baltimore Ravens for a spot in Super Bowl XLVI. After a nail-biting game of receptions, flags and field goals-gone-bad, our Patriots are heading to Indianapolis. For those of you who plan to follow and haven't planned ahead, don't worry - I found a few hotels with rooms available near the center of all the action. Caveat: these hotels had rooms available as of Jan. 21. You'll need to call these hotels directly to get pricing and room information; booking online isn't available for Super Bowl packages.

Doubletree Carmel: The Doubletree is breaking out all the stops this year. Located a 10-minute drive from Lucas Oil Stadium, the Doubletree Carmel is offering Super Bowl weekend packages that start at $4,295.00 and go as high as $7,495.00 per person (game tickets included).

Hyatt Regency Indianapolis: The Hyatt kicks off their Super Bowl week with packages that start at $146.00 a night and they also include free valet parking during your stay.

If you act fast (by midnight on Jan. 22), you can grab two tickets to the Super Bowl plus hotel accommodations and access to all fan festivities via the Indianapolis Groupon page. The Groupon starts at $7,499.

Best Western Airport Suites: As of Jan. 22, there were 20 rooms left for $699.99 a night.

Best Western Crossroads: Non-refundable and non-cancelable rooms are still available for $850 per night.

Best Western Country Suites: Non-refundable rooms from $750 per night (only 6 rooms left as of Jan. 22).

Omni Severin Hotel's (which is adjacent to the 2012 Big Game Village) has a "Pre-Game to the Big Game" package that includes:

-Overnight accommodations
-The official Big Game full-size embossed commemorative football
-Bucket of Beer delivered by room service
-Popcorn delivered by room service
-Valet parking

Rates start at $189/night but the package is available only from Jan. 27 - Feb. 1. While it is not available for the Super Bowl weekend specifically, the package opening date does coincide with the opening of the NFL Experience, which is pro football's interactive theme park offering participatory games, displays, entertainment attractions, kids' football clinics, free autograph sessions, and more.

If you can't grab a hotel room for the weekend of the Super Bowl, head to Indianapolis pre-game for some of the following activities, open to the public:

  • The NFL Experience, presented by GMC, will be inside the Indiana Convention Center-an indoor interactive football theme park. Tickets for adults are $25, and tickets for kids are $20 (children 12 and under). The fun includes autograph sessions, football clinics, hands-on punting and passing, kick field goals, games and competitions.
  • Experience the Super Bowl Village for free. The 3-block plaza with live concerts, light shows, food and beverage for purchase, and fireworks. is open to the public.
  • There will be free concerts daily on two stages within the Super Bowl Village, including O.A.R., Darius Rucker, LMFAO, Patti LaBelle, and Bret Michaels to name a few.
  • Behind-the-scenes access will be given to fans through Lucas Oil Stadium Super Bowl Tours days before the two teams hit the field. Fans will walk on the field, visit both team locker rooms, see the media workroom, and witness Super Bowl preparations. Tours range from $15-$30, depending on the date.
