Charleston, South Carolina, is a pretty popular destination for golfers, and the city is offering several stay-and-play packages for duffers this summer. One is “Brew & Birdies,” available through Sept. 11, which includes three nights at the Holiday Inn Charleston Riverview Hotel, three rounds of golf at a choice of eight courses and a three-and-a-half hour tour of local craft breweries. The package starts at $149 a night.
The “Historic District & Resort Sampler,” available through Aug. 31, includes four nights at the Holiday Inn Charleston Historic Downtown and four rounds of golf at a choice of six courses, with rates from $229.
The “Lowcountry Links Layouts” deal, good through Aug. 31 and starting at $170 a night, gets you three nights at the Courtyard by Marriot Charleston Waterfront and three rounds of golf at Patriots Point Links, the Links at Stono Ferry and Wild Dunes Links Course.
Stretch out the season and you’ll get the “Golf & Haunted Jail Tour,” good through Nov. 27, with three nights at the King Charles Inn, three rounds of golf, and a walking tour of Charleston’s haunted Old City Jail. Rates kick in at $176. Even deeper into the year is the Wild Dunes Resort deal through Dec. 31, which gets two nights at the resort and a round of golf at both the Harbor Course and Links Course. The package starts at $175.
