National Geographic magazine thinks Boston is one of the best trips to make this spring.

Boston was one of nine places worldwide chosen by National Geographic editors for the magazine's "Best Spring Trips 2014" feature. Specifically, the magazine recommends folks head our way the third week of April for Patriots' Day weekend.
"The third Monday in April is Boston at its best," writes the magazine.
National Geographic lists the Boston Marathon, Red Sox games at Fenway Park, the battle reenactment at Minute Man National Historical Park, and Swan Boat rides in the Boston Public Garden as reasons to head our way for Patriots' Day.
It also gives tips for how to get around (the T), where to stay (Liberty Hotel), where to eat (Boston food trucks, The Friendly Toast), what to buy (Red Sox gear on Yawkey Way), and even what to read (Robert B. Parker's Spenser book series) before coming here. Do you agree?
Thanks for recognizing our fine city, National Geographic! Oh, and we forgive you for calling the North End Little Italy when you recommend Mike's Pastry, especially since you link out to our Boston Visitors' Guide (thanks for that!).
