The Grand Teton Lodging Company in Wyoming kicks off its summer season May 20, and has launched some new initiatives. The Teton Wellness Program was created in association with the National Park Service’s Healthy Parks Healthy People program, designed to promote active living through various activities in Grand Teton National Park. Another is the Appetite for Life program, which educates guests through the company’s sustainable cuisine program that includes menus with calorie counts, nutritional information and sustainable ingredients. A third is the company’s sustainability program, which uses third-party standards such as audits and certifications to educate guests and workers on protecting natural resources, methods they can use at home as well.
Grand Teton Lodging Company has a variety of summer “Grand Adventure Packages,” which include river rafting, hiking, horseback riding and boat cruises. Lodging options include Jenny Lake Lodge, a Four Diamond eco-resort in the park; Jackson Lake Lodge, the largest of the resorts fronting the Teton Range and Jackson Lake; Colter Bay Village, with Jackson Hole homestead cabins; and Headwaters Lodge, with its recently renovated Headwaters Lodge & Cabins. The Teton Explorer Package, with rates starting at $135 a night, with a booking window through March 31. For information, visit www.gtlc.com/lodging/tetonexplorer.aspx
