Up in Meredith, N.H., there's a long-time destination resort boasting a new name: Mill Falls at the Lake takes the place of the former name, The Inns & Spa at Mill Falls, said company president and CEO Rusty McLear, adding it more accurately depicts the resort's location on Lake Winnipesaukee. He said guests at the resort "always thought of getting away to the lake, or relaxing on or near the lake, and over time, we've made changes to our logo as we've added more and more inns and properties to our location."
He said making an identity change wasn't a decision lightly made, but that "this new look (included redesigned logo, similar to the original) will serve us well into the future. We've evolved and grown, including the newly constructed lodges and the addition of the Lake Activity Center, home to EKAL Lake Activities, and Sacred Waters Yoga Studio."
The latter is in a building previously occupied by the Christmas Loft on Daniel Webster Highway, and is run by Christina Alexa, formerly of The Practice Room Center for Yoga & Healing in Meredith. It opened Feb. 8 and is holding a grand-opening weekend Feb. 22-24, with Mill Falls and Church Landing offering special rates, starting at $199 a night. Yoga classes are being offered at a reduced rate as well.
