A member of the U.S. Ski Team and recent student at the Green Mountain Valley School, a prestigious ski and snowboard academy in Killington, Vt., was cut by the national team after urinating on an 11-year-old girl on a JetBlue flight.
According to a report in the New York Post, Robert "Sandy" Vietze was drunk when he let loose on the girl, who was five rows back on a red-eye flight Wednesday from Portland, Ore. to JFK Airport. Vietze had been training with the U.S. Ski Team at Mount Hood.
According to the Post, Vietze admitted to cops that he had consumed eight alcoholic beverages before boarding the flight and has refused to apologize for the incident.
"I was drunk, and I did not realize I was pissing on her leg," the 18-year-old Vietze later told cops.
The girl's father, reportedly a Stage 4 cancer patient, attempted to get Vietze to stop, and the two men had to reportedly be separated, according to passengers.
Vietze's name and profile have been removed from the websites of both the U.S. Ski team and GMVS.
