It's certainly more effective than pushing candy bars.
In an effort to save their flailing employer, Mexicana Airlines, which filed for bankruptcy back in August, a group of flight attendants got together and created a sexy calendar that they hoped would get some flights back in the air.
According to the Associated Press, the first run of 1,000 sold out even before last Thursday's official launch, and a second edition of 3,000 calendars is in the works. The calendar costs 149 pesos, or $12 each.
"It occurred to me because we all needed money, and I thought that with so many pretty girls there were bound to be some who'd be interested," said Coral Perez, the attendant who came up with the idea for the calendar, and recruited nine others to put up their own money for production costs.
Earlier this month, Mexicana hinted that it may be back in business if creditors approve a re-financing proposal, yet the company would only hire back a fraction of its former workers. No way they can't begin these 10, right?
