You're a golfer and you dream of playing at a course that hosts the USGA or the PGA. If you're an American Express member, you're in luck.
American Express today announces its Championship Tees program that gives cardmembers the opportunity to play a selection of courses that have or will host USGA and PGA of America championships.
The program kicks off July 12 at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wis., home to this year's 2010 PGA Championship. The event includes a clinic, lunch, 18-hole shotgun, and evening cocktails for a fee of $450.
Aug. 20-22 at Pinehurst Resort #2 and #4 in North Carolina -- for $800 per person single, $650 per person double -- members will enjoy a cocktail reception, 18-hole shotgun on #4 on Saturday, a formal dinner Saturday evening, and an 18-hole shotgun on #2 on Sunday.
The program continues throughout the year at courses across the country including The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina and Chambers Bay in Washington State.
