Bright lights are fine in the big city, but the night sky without light pollution is a bedazzling sight. The Acadia Night Sky Festival in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park begins at sunset on Sept. 17 and ends at dawn on Sept. 21. Look for guided and interpretive stargazing every night, night walks by park rangers to view nocturnal wildlife, and a workshop (advance registration required) in nighttime digital photography led by Todd Nordgren. There will also be storytelling, singalongs and other programs. For details, see www.nightskyfestival.org.
