I'm the kind of person who'll travel just for food. Across borders, over seas and every where in between. To know me is to feed me. Tavolo in Dorchester recognizes the need to bring international cuisine to locals, and thus marks their last stop on a Regional Pasta Tour, where Wed. July 29 features Corsica. Corsican food is a beautiful fusion of French and Italian cuisines. Loved foods such as pizza, pasta, cured meats and sheep's milk cheeses can be found, as well as wild meat like boar and rabbit, or trout from the islands many rivers are featured in local recipes. Yes indeed, I just may be from Corsica.
Chefs Chris Douglass and Max Thompson present a three-course, $18 prix fixe meal with pasta in the starring role. Guests are seated communally, matching wine flights are available, and regional lore and history is presented by the chef before each course comes out. Mi Amore!
