Patriot Place is celebrating St. Patrick's Day all weekend long. The luck of the Irish kicks off on Saturday, March 14 with the all day "Life is Good" St. Patrick's Day Party. Face painting, balloons, trivia, scavenger hunt, live music, and free food and drink will be within the "Life is Good" store. The Irish step dancers from Walpole's Harney Academy dance in at 3 p.m. entertaining all who pass the pedestrian corridor.
The Harney dancers come back for a second show on Sunday at 3 p.m., preceding the CBS Scene Selection Show Party at 6 p.m. St. Patrick’s Day weekend happens to coincide with Selection Sunday for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, and fans will have the opportunity to fill out their tournament brackets with the professional help of CBS’ College Basketball Studio Crew, Greg Gumbel, Greg Anthony and Seth Davis, who will appear live via satellite at CBS Scene. For reservations for this unique opportunity, check online.
And the celebration wraps up on St. Patrick's Day, March 17 with a "Green" Wine tasting from 6-8 p.m. at Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro. Organic wines from Davis Bynum, one of the first California wineries to implement sustainable viticulture and winemaking practices, will be featured, along with Irish cheeses. If you have all night, stay on for an Irish inspired dinner featuring many 'small plates.' Call 508-203-WINE for reservations - only $10 per person.
Then the festivities wrap up with a live show from the Saw Doctors, who hail from Tuam, County Galway. The Saw Doctors lay claim to Ireland's biggest selling single of all time, "I Useta Lover." Purchase tickets online.
