Parents who travel with children know the secret to life is healthy food and clean restrooms, and now so do the folks at Logan.
The airport has been named the country’s eighth healthiest for passengers and the environment, according to the issue of Health magazine that hit newsstands Tuesday. The magazine reviewed major US airports and awarded them points for food choices, restroom cleanliness, environmental friendliness, security and safety measures, runway accidents, delays, construction, stress reducers, creature comforts, and consumer satisfaction.
Experts then whittled down the top 15 airports to the top 10. Logan stood out for its waterless urinals -- which studies suggest improve restroom cleanliness – - and its spa services, artwork, and parental stress-reliever “kidport” play area.
The magazine picked Phoenix Sky Harbor International as the healthiest airport, followed by Baltimore/Washington International, O’Hare International in Chicago, Detroit Metropolitan, Denver International, Washington National, and Dallas/Fort Worth International.
