Portland, Maine's got a great idea. This Saturday, Nov. 22 is the Museum Shopper's Day 2008. What does that mean, and why is it at a banquet hall? Well, my friends, organizers have brought together 8 of the area's most popular institutions to display and sell their Museum Shop wares in one place! And I just love great ideas. So at the Thomas Room, in South Portland, expect to find treasures from the Children's Museum of Maine, Portland Harbor Museum, Portland Headlight, Maine Audubon Society, The Tate House, Portland Landmarks, Maine Historical Society, and the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad.
Museum Shopping Day runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Supporting cultural and environmental non-profit organizations - ah, holiday shopping just got better!
