Starting before Thanksgiving, you can fly from Worcester to West Palm Beach, Fla., on Direct Air Boeing 737s. The service between Worcester Regional and Palm Beach International airports, which starts Nov. 18 and flies in both directions on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, offers 138 coach and 12 first-class seats. American Express first with yuan checks

American Express now offers the world’s first travelers checks in Chinese yuan. Purchase checks in denominations of 500 yuan (equivalent to about $73.45) online through Bank of America ( or at Currency Exchange International, which has a branch at 100 Huntington Ave. in Copley Place (617-266-3300, American Express card members can buy the checks online ( or by calling 866-721-9954. You can cash your checks at approximately 2,000 Bank of China branches, including airport locations in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, and Shandong. The checks will be refunded, typically within 24 hours, if lost or stolen, and they never expire.
