In the mix:
5 ounces apple cider
½ ounce Maker's Mark bourbon
½ ounce Jose Cuervo Tradicional Reposado tequila
¼ ounce lemon juice
¼ ounce brown sugar simple syrup
Combine ingredients and serve hot. Garnish with an orange slice.
"Adding tequila to a very classic mix of cider and bourbon gives it edge," bartender Danielle Marshall said.
Bottom line: We love mulled cider — and the tequila and orange garnish give this one a twist. Quaff this next to one of the restaurant's three fireplaces come winter.
Or try: The Boston Tea Ketel ($11.50) combines vodka, Campari, and amaretto. Love the kitschy name.
