Boston’s South End Business Alliance (SEBA) will kick off its first ever Cookie Festival this weekend, with the help of six local bakeries. Each participating bakery will create a limited edition cookie especially for the festival, and the sweet treats will be available for purchase along a special cookie tour.
Tours will run at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., and will take about 90 minutes. The last tour of the day will stop at the annual tree lighting, held at 4 p.m., at the Boston Center for the Arts (BCA) Plaza. A portion of each ticket sold will be donated back to the BCA.
Participating bakeries and their unique cookies:
Ginger molasses cookie: Flour Bakery
Chewy ginger molasses cookie: The Buttery
Cospresso cookie: Above & Beyond Catering
The Bramble: Sugar Bakery
The Blueberry Pancookie: Rox Diner
Chocolate dipped oatmeal with pecans: 570 Market
Tickets: $20. Tours begin at Diseno, 409 Harrison Ave., Boston. http://www.eventbrite.com
