Kendall Square Community Ice Skating opens Nov. 30

Temperatures are dropping, which means it's time to dust off your ice skates for another season.


Community Ice Skating at Kendall Square will be ready for opening on Saturday.

A good place to use them is at Community Ice Skating at Kendall Square. The refrigerated, zamboni-maintained rink is set in a landscaped courtyard. Winter plans include concert series, themed skate nights, lessons, a cafe serving hot drinks and snacks, and a Dec. 14 holiday bash offering free admission for all. Nov. 30, opening day. Hours: Mon, noon-5 p.m. Tues-Thurs, noon-8 p.m. Fri, noon-9 p.m. Sat, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sun, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Admission $5, students and seniors $3, kids $1. Skate rentals $5-$8.
