There's a new game in town. Skeeball nights, brought to you by Southern-grown league SkeeNation, will start July 21 at The Greatest Bar. The bar just installed two skeeball machines and will play host to a competitive event every Thursday evening. Starting in August, official teams of three can duke it out for eight weeks to snag a spot in the "Super Roll" -- a nationwide tournament put on by SkeeNation that pits the best ballers against each other.
The winning team from this week will be awarded a set of Red Sox tickets -- much better than those tickets you get at the arcade.
Need some liquid courage? $3 beers (PBR, Narragansett, Rolling Rock) will be available, as will 2-for-1 apps and $18 Captain Morgan punch buckets.
Thursdays, starting July 21, sign-up between 7-7:30 p.m. Free to play. The Greatest Bar, 262 Friend St., Boston, 617-367-0544. www.thegreatestbar.com.
