Yes, Virginia, there really is an International Federation of Competitive Eating, and a member of that organization will emcee Saturday's Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest Qualifier. Pick up some pointers at 1 p.m. at Patriot Place Plaza in Foxborough where about 20 contestants will shove dogs in their pie holes for 10 minutes. Close to 300 hot dogs and buns are expected to be devoured. The weenie winner will get a coveted slot at the July 4 International Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island. Antacid anyone? There will be family games and activities from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. www.patriot-place.com
