Just smashing
The bartenders at Eastern Standard know how to make a mean whiskey smash — that's bourbon, lemon, and mint, for the uninitiated — and they've been doling them out since the hotspot opened in June 2005. They've made more than 21,000 smashes, in fact.
Celebrate this mixing milestone Aug. 16, with interesting twists on the original recipe (like chartreuse, peach, or cognac flavors), food, guest bartenders, and ... drum roll please ... the world's largest whiskey smash. One question: Can we swim in it?
Tickets for the bash are $30, which includes entry, food, and a smash. Imbibing starts at 7 p.m. sharp.
