Have a retro day in Boston
For the record
Vinyl geeks should flock to the new group show "The Record: Contemporary Art and Vinyl" at the ICA. There, they'll find installations, paintings, videos, and sculptures featuring or inspired by records. Check out David Byrne's original photo montage (comprising 529 Polaroids) for the cover of the Talking Heads' 1978 album "More Songs About Buildings and Food" (left) and the buttons Dario Robleto made from ground and melted Billie Holiday records.
Bonus: Rapper DMC will stop by the museum on May 14 to dish about the history of album cover art with Hard Rock Cafe International's Annie Balliro.
