NESN has hired Sarah Davis, formerly of Rogers Sportnet in Toronto, as a reporter, anchor and host. She will join the network in mid-February.

The search for a Red Sox in-game reporter is still ongoing, according to a NESN spokesman. The position became available last week when the network confirmed Jenny Dell had changed roles.

“Sarah brings an up-beat and engaging personality with a passion for sports that should quickly endear her to fans of New England sports,” said Joseph Maar, NESN’s Vice President of Programming and Production/Executive Producer, said in a statement.

“We are excited to add another reporter of Sarah’s caliber to our talented and still growing team of sports anchors, hosts and reporters.”

Davis served as host of Soccer Central and Fox Soccer News for Rogers Sportsnet, a national network. Her other duties have included hosting UFC pre-fight programming as well as serving as the game-day host for the Toronto Rock, an indoor lacrosse franchise. She also has been the entertainment host before Maple Leafs and Raptors games on television.
